This authentic Dutch Delft tile dates to the end of the 17th century- beginning of the 18th century, circa 1720. It is made of tin-glazed earthenware and hand-painted in cobalt blue, featuring a horse-drawn carriage with a driver in a beautiful landscape scene.
The central motif is framed by a distinctive manganese (purple-brown) border. The tile is in very good condition for its age, with small chips visible on the bottom and left sides.
